Hello and thanks for stopping by!
Writing an “about me” page is much easier said than done. In a nutshell, I grew up in Overland Park, KS, went to KSU and then moved to Dallas shortly after graduation. My husband, Adam, and I met in college, got married in 2009 & moved to Denver, CO where shortly after we adopted our first child, Tyson. Our very emotional, lovable dog.
What really defines me is what happened after we started trying to get pregnant. After about a year of “trying” we went to the specialists here in CO (Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine- CCRM) and eventually got pregnant through IVF with our first child, Cade. Cade was born on March 13, 2014 at 31 weeks and passed away about a day and a half after birth from a very rare genetic disease. After lots and lots of testing we found out that both my husband and I are carriers of this disease. We were (and still are…) absolutely devastated. Going through this experience has reshaped who I am as a person.
But that brings us to the next chapter….Berkley. Also known as our miracle baby (she truly is!). After a lot of genetic testing on our remaining embryos (and lots of prayers) we were able to transfer 1 healthy embryo back in July 2014. She was born on April 7, 2015 and has brought so much joy back into our lives!
Through infertility, infant loss and now journeying into motherhood I have a lot to say and this is my place to do that. Please contact me at anytime firstname.lastname@example.org- I would love to hear from you!
